Premature and early menopause affect about 10-15% of women. There is often delayed diagnosis and suboptimal care. We discuss the current best clinical practice recommendations to optimise health outcomes for women.
Delivered in a 40-minute bite-sized webinar by Dr Vikram Talaulikar.
Specialist in Reproductive Medicine at UCLH and Hon. Associate Professor in Women’s Health at UCL
My training and research so far has been focussed on fertility, early pregnancy embryo-uterine interactions and post-reproductive health. I envision myself developing a practice in reproductive endocrinology and subfertility concentrating on assisted reproduction, management of recurrent miscarriage, PCOS, premature ovarian insufficiency and menopause. I also hope to continue conducting research in these areas especially in relation to the developmental origins of adult health/disease at the early embryonic stage. As a teacher and trainer, I hope to be involved in future in developing training opportunities and exchange programmes for the benefit of those interested in pursuing a career in reproductive endocrinology.
