Diabetes Age: How to motivate patients to control their type 2 diabetes

This webinar introduces Diabetes Age® – a new tool that combines medical risk data with patient psychology to motivate patients with t2 diabetes to want to take action and reduce the risks associated with long term uncontrolled glucose.

Diabetes Age works by:

1. showing patients how much their raised glucose is ‘ageing’ them, and then
2. allowing them to see how many ‘years younger’ they could get by getting their glucose under control with lifestyle changes and/or taking medication.

Learning Outcomes:

·Understand the lasting benefits of promoting early intervention in type 2 diabetes (to halt, slow or even put into remission the natural progression of diabetes)

·Understand different patient motivations for change and the psychology of why ‘age tools’ can stimulate motivating conversations

·Understand how you can use this tool with your patients to motivate action before, at or between regular checks
